For those of you who have not already seen on Facebook, we lost Remington last weekend. She was due to have a litter but there were complications, a c-section, and she ended up dying of a uterine infection that went septic. I was so heartbroken and miss her a lot.
After hearing that I had lost her, a previous customer of mine contacted me about raising a litter she was expecting. Jenny bought a Lab puppy from me several years ago – his name is Hampton and his parents are Golani and Ruger. Jenny also has a beautiful female Lab who came from Creekside Kennels in NC, her name is Assata.
Hampton and Assata had a litter of puppies last year – there were 12 puppies, 8 black and 4 chocolate. Assata is expecting again late January/early February, but Jenny has a lot going on right now and when she heard that I had lost Remi and her litter, she asked if I would like to raise and sell Assata’s puppies. I gladly agreed and am hoping that there will be a chocolate female that I can keep.
I am accepting deposits for this litter now so if you would like to get on the waiting list, please contact me. Here are a few pictures of the parents:
Assata, with her last litter.
Hampton, watching his babies. Jenny said he would just lay there and look at them … and even lick them gently sometimes!
This is Assata
She loves to fetch!
And this is Hampton. His original name was Sheriff and he was from Ruger’s Dec 2013 litter.
They are usually in the Caribbean but are back in TN right now.
And this is one of the female puppies from their previous litter. I think she is so beautiful and am definitely looking forward to keeping one!
